Purchase 7-, 14-, or 21-day passes for either Green Car (first class) or Ordinary service and upon your arrival in Japan you can even reserve seats for your travel.

Japan Rail Passes must be purchased outside Japan. Japan's trains are incredibly comfortable, dependable, on-time, and frequent.

The price depends on the Yen rate the day you purchase your pass, but once you have purchased it there will be no additional fees. Simply present your voucher with your passport at a designated Japan Rail Station (including at major airports), tell them the day you wish to start your train travel (not necessarily the day you exchange the voucher) and "ride the rails".

Example
At ¥105= $1.00, a 7-day adult ordinary pass would cost $269.00 or less than the price of one round trip bullet train between Tokyo and Osaka.

Restrictions

1. You must be a 'foreign tourist visiting Japan from abroad' with a 'stay for sightseeing' stamp on your passport.
2. Japanese Nationals are only eligible if they reside in a foreign country or are married to a non-Japanese who do not live in Japan. (Green card holders)
3. Not valid for trains not operated by Japan Rail Group.
4. Once the 'start of travel date' has commenced, no refund can be made for any reason.
